I am always interested in peoples equipment. Finding out why people use what has led me to dramatically change my equipment choice from time to time. An expensive, but often rewarding exercise.

For example: I have been using a borrowed Canon 2.8 100mm macro that has made me relinquish my usual 24-105L lens. I am just blown away by the sharpness and colour of this lens. I am using it as my current walk about although it is mighty slow to focus and is almost impossiblr to take anything moving quickly without the lens hunting.

My other favorite lens at the moment is the little plastic-fantastic 50mm 1.8, this cheapy canon lens is amazingly good for the money. It is excellent in low light and is so unobtrusive. Good for filming as well.
