I know some of us are a bit cynical about the terms imposed by competition organisers that sometimes seem to be nothing but a shallow scheme for getting hold of lots of images for the minimum outlay and indeed there are plenty around like that. This one has a very reasonable clause on copyright as well as some worthwhile prizes and a wide brief.

Copyright: The copyright will, at all times, be respected by Asian Geographic and retained by the photographer. Where Asian Geographic reproduces an image or images, the photographer will be credited. The organizers and sponsors reserve the right to free reproduction and exhibition of entered images in all media, but only in connection with this competition.
