QUOTE: If you are obsessed with beautiful flowers and decorative plants, this is the festival for you. Experience these beautiful flower-decorated floats and a magnificent tapestry of floral splendor that blankets the land. There are also agricultural exhibitions, floral contents, and product sales by local groups of housewives.

Full details with schedule of activities can be found at: http://www.tourismthailand.org/festival-event/grand-content-5570.html

No CMCG group activity planned.

Stealing Mike See's words:

Get to the train station by 7 to take photos of the parade as it is staging to go .... walk  between the station and the bridge ....good shots with the the best light of the day. The parade still be static then, allowing [you to pick] the best angles of the floats and participants.
The only problem might be for some of us lazy people without motorcycles. Not only do we have to get up and out of the house early but we then have to find a place to park. Hmmmmm....

We went by car last year and parking wasn't a problem down in the road by the station.

Wyndham

Thanks for the parking hint. Got there close to 7 am and got a good parking spot effectively right there at the start (i.e., the tail end) of the parade. Work out perfectly for me.

A reminder - if any is needed (I'm new to the group so please forgive me), that the Flower Festival 2011 is almost upon us. 4th to the 6th February. Here is a link to my pics from last year.

I hope to do better in 2011

I really enjoyed your gallery Wyndham. Many there with the 'wow' factor!
